World Ranking Event: Course and Map Scales

We accept that the World Ranking Event on Day 1 should have used a map scale of 1:15,000 to comply with IOF Rules. Unfortunately it has proved too late to reproduce the maps at 1:15,000, so the scale will remain at 1:10,000.

The courses have been planned to make the best use of great terrain but the shape of the area means the course lengths fall between Long and Middle distance. We are, however, sure that it will provide competitors with an interesting and challenging competition. Competitors are reminded that the expecting winning time for this race is approximately 60 minutes.

Elite competitors have a separate final control and run-in lane, adjacent to the main run-in. After punching at the finish maps will be collected.
