Event Campsite

This will offer basic facilities and is suitable for tent campers only. Cost will depend on the size of your tent. You can email info2011@scottish6days.com to make a booking or just turn up on the day.
The campsite office will be placed at the SE corner of Area A Highfield, and Open:
Sat 30th from 10:00am til 7:30pm
Sun 31st from 2:00pm to 7:30pm
Mon-Fri from 6:30 til 7:30pm.
Sat 6th from 2:00pm til 7:30pm
Small tents (1-2 persons) are £60 for the week
Large tents (3+ persons) are £100 for the week
Cars will not be allowed next to tents for safety reasons but will be in a car park nearby.
There will be a shuttle bus service available from the campsite to events each day (except Friday, Lochnell & Shenevallie which is a walkable distance).
Adults £6, Juniors/Students £3 per day. You need to pre-book this and can do so whilst entering.

1/ Proceed to enter the event as normal.
2/ When you reach step 3 remove the list of competitors using the delete links at the end of each competitor row.
3/ Order the additional event options that you require.
4/ Proceed through the remaining steps to pay as normal.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate Campervans / Motorhomes at the event campsite. The ground conditions and limited space cannot handle this type of vehicle, read about the Campervans / Motorhomes options here…

Campsite rules
Admission to the campsite
• Everyone staying on the event campsite must be registered with the campsite management. Camping fees must be paid in full before entering the camping area.
• One waterproof camping permit for every tent to be put on the site, which should be displayed clearly for the campsite management and security staff to see.
• Under-18’s not accompanied in a group by an adult must have an adult, preferably a parent or guardian, sign their registration form.
Fire is a particular hazard
The following instructions have been approved by the Fire Officer and must be followed:
• The roadways must be kept clear at all times to allow access for emergency vehicles.
• There should be a space of at least 6 metres between tents.
• No fires are to be lit on the campsite and any barbeques be placed in suitable containers and totally extinguished and damped down after use. Barbeques must not be placed directly on the grass.
• In the event of fire, alert others using the warning triangles placed at the fire safety points and phone the Fire Brigade immediately.
• There are sand buckets and dry powder fire extinguishers at the fire points, which are marked with a 2m long red post. Please make sure you know where the nearest fire point is (these are marked on the site map issued at registration).
Vehicles
• It is intended that during the week the campsites will be free of moving vehicles, in order to create as safe an environment as possible.
• Please abide by the instructions issued at the time – this is important for preserving the quality of the grass for the owner.
• Please would all drivers and mountain bike riders look out for other campers, especially the youngsters, when moving on the site.
Noise
• On the part of the campsite designated as the quiet area, we request that all noise ceases after 2200hrs and on the rest of the site (Family & Youth zones), that noise ceases after 2300hrs.
• Any campers returning late to the campsite are requested to do so quietly and without disturbing others.
Dogs
• Are allowed on the site but they must be kept on short leads under control and their owners must clear up after their dog anywhere on the campsite.
Out of Bounds
• Please cross all fences using the stiles provided and use the path marked on the campsite map when moving between the 2 camping areas.
Showers
• These are being brought in for the event. They will only be available for use between certain hours – see notices at the showers and at campsite registration. Please do your best to keep the showering areas clean.
Campsite Security
Arrangements will be made to ensure reasonable security of the campsite, but we cannot accept responsibility for valuables or other items left unattended.
The Scottish 6 Days officials will do all they can to maintain your safety and security on the campsite during the event.
You are strongly advised to keep all valuables with you and not leave them in your tent.
Tralee Bay Fish and Chips
