St Modan’s church, Benderloch
Edited on 15th Jul 2011
We are part of The Church of Scotland, which is Reformed & Presbyterian, similar to the United Reformed Church in England & the Lutheran Church on the Continent. We have two churches; Ardchattan Kirk on the shores of Loch Etive, and St Modan’s church in the village of Benderloch.
St. Modan’s Church (located in the Centre of Benderloch) and the Campbell Memorial Hall (located behind it) will be open weekdays from 2pm till 4pm, with an exhibition of photos of the area from days gone by. Tea/ coffee & home baking will also be available between 2 & 4pm.
The church & exhibition may be open at other times through the week - if the main church door is open, then visitors are very welcome.
There will only be one Church of Scotland service each Sunday, this will be at 10am in St. Modan’s, Benderloch.
Ardchattan Kirk
A small 175th anniversary exhibition will be open daily in Ardchattan Kirk. This listed building is a well preserved, scarcely altered example of its period and is well worth a visit.
