Our logo, the whisky still, tells us that Moray is whisky country but that's not all it has to offer.....

Wildlife abounds -  dolphins in the Moray Firth, salmon in the rivers, ospreys on lochs, deer and birds of prey on the high hills.

Moray also offers indoor diversions including the chance to sample local produce such as shortbread, knitwear, salmon, smoked venison and other foods - and, of course, whisky.

This is Moray

True, it is home to dozens of the finest distilleries in Scotland, including many of the most famous, but it also has wonderful sandy beaches, fast-flowing and beautiful rivers, moors and mountains, including the superb Cairngorm National Park. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, it is renowned for its benign climate.

The event promises six fine areas of which two have been little used for orienteering. Three are on sand dunes, offering intricate contour detail beside the sea, while three will be inland, generally wooded with good levels of runnability and challenging navigational detail.
