TrailO

We hope that everyone that took part enjoyed the experience . It was really wonderful that so many took the time to have a go – especially so many competitors who were having their first experience of TrailO.

Unfortunately we found that one of the kites at station 3 had blown out of true and was leaning – this may have lead to some incorrect answers. In view of the nature of the competition we have decided to let the results stand – you can make your own adjustment if you feel affected.

Try TrailO, with some easy controls, some harder, plus a timed control station at the end of the course. This is part of the Highland O-Fest.

The TrailO course length will now be 2.4km, with 12 controls. There will be no timed control.  In view of the large entry for the TrailO we have regretfully decided to leave out the planned timed control in order to avoid long queues building up on a day when many will want to move on to other activities.  The time limit for the course will now be 108 minutes.See the Highland O-Fest page for entry details.

Start times will be 11:00 - 13:30. The start is about 1km walk from the Arena along a tarmac road. There will be very limited priority parking for wheelchair users close to the start. Requests for priority parking should be made to

There will be a disabled toilet located close to the start.

Newcomers to TrailO are advised to read this Introduction for tips on tackling a TrailO course.
