We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the extra volunteers who answered our last minute request to help with parking - we couldn't have done it without you!
Our thanks also go to all the drivers who picked up people who had been parked at the Tomich Hotel. Your generosity meant that we weren't left with anyone needing a lift at the end of the day.
Apologies for the missing start kites early in the day. The Day 6 planners and controllers were stretched to the limit getting everything set up in the forest in time and the start kites were forgotten in the long list of other things they had to do. WOC meant that many of the controls could not go out until the WOC Long Distance race had finished. They worked until dark on Friday night and were back in the forest at first light on Saturday, getting everything in place and delivering water to the remote drink stations on the Elite courses.
