Clash with Highland 2015
The organisers of Highland 2015 were aware of the clash with WMOC 2015 at an early stage and lobbied the IOF to ask the Swedes to change dates. Though sympathetic, they were unable to avoid an overlap with the opening race of WOC 2015.
There are very good reasons for the timings and scheduling of all the WOC races. We are confident that the superb locations and variety of terrain will be a huge draw for competitors and supporters. Note that the scoring system for the Scottish 6 Days is based on the best 4 runs, allowing some flexibility for late travel to Scotland. For those that cannot arrive in Scotland in time for the Day 1 race at Achagour, Day 2 is in Glen Strathfarrar - a scenic, demanding and physically challenging new area. The WOC Sprint races will of course be televised, offering the next best thing for those who cannot make it to Scotland in time.
