EventScotland is a team within VisitScotland’s Events Directorate. EventScotland is dedicated to ensuring Scotland’s reputation as the perfect stage for events is recognised nationally and internationally by supporting a wide range of sporting and cultural events. Sporting highlights of 2017 include the Ricoh Women’s British Open, the TOTAL BWF World Badminton Championships, and the IFSC (Speed and Lead) Climbing World Cup.

Partnerships are vital in delivering a strong events portfolio, and EventScotland works closely with a number of organisations in bids to attract and secure major international events with The Solheim Cup, European Athletics Indoor Championships and the LEN European Short Course Swimming Championships all recently secured for Scotland in 2019.

Our new and used car fleet ranges from the basic set of wheels just to get you from A to B like the Nissan Micra to our largest car; a 7 seat Vauxhall Zafira. On our van fleet we exclusively use Ford Transit vans for their unbeaten reliability. Aberdeenshire Council are the local authority covering the Royal Deeside area and they provide services including education, social care, roads and transport, economic development, housing and planning, environmental protection, waste management, cultural and leisure services.  For the Scottish 6 Days we thank the Council for financial assistance towards overseas marketing; provision of temporary storage facilities; water supply at the event campsite; recycling and waste facilities at the campsite and race arenas and the loan of road signage.
